Michael Anthony Pegues at Pawel Althamer's "Draftsman's Congress," The New Musuem
Participatory & "Live" Art Installation at The New Museum: "Draftsman's Congress," part of the exhibit Pawel Althamer: "The Neighbors"

March 23 through April 30, 2014

I was one of the contributing artists in residence at the "Draftsman's Congress,"  an immersive and participatory installation, curated by Pawel Althamer, that took over The New Museum’s fourth floor this spring. I created several new works and works in progress (acrylic with glitter on canvas; acrylic on paper) including "Sitting on the Top of World," "Mr Ambitiously," "Mr. Butterfly," among other works;  painted and drew  with other artists and museum visitors, decorating the sweeping white canvas that cloaked the gallery’s interior walls and flooring, and also participated in a collaborative sculpture project.
